Job Summary

The Clinical Office Coordinator will coordinate clinical office activities under the direction of physicians and the schedules of clinical staff. This role requires strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate clinical office activities, including prioritizing incoming phone calls and advising callers on basic treatment or urging them to seek care in the office or emergency department.
  • Provide support to Certified Nursing Assistants and Certified Medical Assistants functioning in the Medical Assistant position in the clinical setting.
  • Exhibit effective communication and stay current with disease processes, outbreaks, and any information beneficial for staff.
  • Complete required documentation consistent with the system used in the facility.
  • Develop and train clinical staff.
  • Perform a variety of tasks for patients and providers, including triaging patients, taking patient vitals, obtaining medical information, charting, preparing exam rooms, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with license eligible to practice in the state of North Carolina.
  • Prefer two years of experience working in a physician's office.
  • Ability to work independently, have strong oral skills, good basic math skills, and be computer literate.
  • BLS certification maintained.
