Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Commercial Superintendent to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing on-site teams, creating cost estimates, and collaborating with clients and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage on-site teams, including schedules, progress, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Create detailed cost estimates for labor, supplies, and materials to ensure accurate project pricing.
  • Collaborate with clients and members of the management team to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely project completion.
  • Create schedules for workers and subcontractors to optimize project efficiency.
  • Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly to meet project demands.
  • Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations and report to management to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Make adjustments to project operations as necessary to meet deadlines and ensure project success.
  • Implement cost-effective and efficient management techniques to drive project profitability.

Requirements

  • Effective leadership skills, including motivation, goal-setting, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Strong planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation, and contingencies.
  • Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices and local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to drive project success.
  • Organization skills, including time management, delegation, and prioritization.
