Overview
This role is situated within the Agriculture sector, specifically in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, National Finance Center, Human Resources Management Staff (HRMS), Operations and Recruitment Branch (ORB).

Position Summary
This is a developmental opportunity that leads to the full performance level of Human Resources (HR) Specialist focusing on Classification, Recruitment, and Placement. The primary responsibility is to ensure that all documentation is processed with precision and within the required timelines, adhering to all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with HR guidelines and verify the accuracy of data entered into the HR information systems.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on various information sources, HR needs, and agency publications.
- Participate in meetings aimed at addressing procedural challenges and implementing more efficient processing methods.

Qualifications
To qualify, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Completion of all requirements for an associate's, bachelor's, master's, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate from an accredited institution within the last two years; or
- Individuals who were unable to apply due to military service obligations during the eligibility period will have a full two-year eligibility upon release from active duty.

Experience Requirements
Applicants must fulfill all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including general experience and/or education:
- GS-05 Level:
General Experience:
Minimum of three years of general experience, with at least one year equivalent to GS-04 or comparable grade level in federal service or equivalent experience in other sectors, performing duties such as:
1) Applying knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and procedures in assignments;
2) Ensuring accuracy and verification of data in automated systems;
3) Delivering customer service by addressing inquiries.

Additional Information
Experience can include both paid and unpaid roles, including volunteer work through National Service programs and other organizations. All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited.

Education:
Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. If education was completed abroad, evidence of accreditation by a recognized body must be submitted. Transcripts must be in English or include an English translation.

Combination of Education and Experience:
Education and experience can be combined to meet the requirements, totaling at least 100 percent.

Additional Notes
Recent Graduate appointments are intended for a duration of one year, with the possibility of non-competitive conversion to a Term or Permanent appointment in the competitive service upon successful completion of the program requirements. Telework and flexible work arrangements may be available based on agency policy.
