Position Overview
The Financial and Grants Coordinator is chiefly accountable for managing financial operations and grant oversight at HR NOLA. This role collaborates with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Priority 1: Financial Management
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, perform analyses, and reconcile balance sheets.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
  • Formulate and oversee annual budgets and forecasting models.
  • Facilitate preparations for annual audits.

Priority 2: Grant Oversight
  • Supervise compliance with grant requirements.
  • Create and manage grant budgets and financial documentation.
  • Ensure timely submission of grant reports to relevant entities.
  • Administer subaward contracts.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external grant organizations.

Priority 3: Administrative Support
  • Process payroll and related functions.
  • Act as a liaison with administrative service providers and partners.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Support the overarching objectives of the department and organization.
  • Retain the right to modify duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office and G Suites are necessary.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities are required.

  • Mobility to access various office locations and meeting environments.
  • Ability to reach, move, and lift objects as needed.

  • Salary: From $89,000.00 per year.
  • Benefits include 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
  • Physical setting: Office.
  • Schedule: 8-hour shift.
  • Previous experience in Accounting/Finance, Nonprofit accounting, and Grant Management is essential.
