Job Title: Content Coordinator

Georgetown University in Qatar is seeking a highly skilled Content Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Department of Athletics, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive storytelling strategy that showcases the university's athletic programs and student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce creative content optimized for social media platforms.
  • Create a video content strategy that drives engagement and consumption.
  • Research best practices to ensure content strategy is aligned with audience trends.
  • Capture video footage at select Georgetown Hoyas home games and events.
  • Travel with athletic teams to away games or special activities as necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or Film production.
  • Excellent knowledge of video and content production, social media strategy, and experience with all facets of social media.
  • 2 years of internship or entry-level experience in video production, preferably creating content for a sports team or organization.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with short deadlines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of equipment needed and creative methods related to video production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and strong knowledge of video features and functions of major social media platforms.
  • Experience writing copy for voice-overs, interview questions, and other media messages.
  • Overall knowledge and appreciation for sports and how sports media content is consumed, specifically basketball.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and availability to work non-traditional schedules (some nights and weekends).
Work Mode Designation and Pay Range:

The projected hourly pay range for this position is $15.75 - $19.25. Compensation is determined by a number of factors, including the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the university's business needs and external factors.
