Staff Psychologist Position

Georgetown University is seeking a highly qualified Staff Psychologist and LGBTQ Specialist to join our Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse student population and contribute to the university's commitment to social justice.
Job Summary:The Staff Psychologist and LGBTQ Specialist will provide psychotherapy, counseling, outreach, and consultation services to Georgetown students, with a focus on students identifying as LGBTQ+. The successful candidate will work closely with the Associate Director for Trainings, supervise trainees, and manage notes and documentation.
Responsibilities:- Provide individual, group, and crisis intervention to all GU students, with a focus on students identifying as LGBTQ+.
- Develop and implement outreach programming and consultation to University offices and students.
- Supervise trainees as designated by the Associate Director for Trainings.
- Manage notes and documentation, attending meetings and other responsibilities as assigned by administrative supervisor and/or Director.
- Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology or a related field, or an MSW.
- Licensure in the District of Columbia as a social worker or psychologist (If not yet licensed, then licensure must be achieved within 2 years of the start date).
- Preference for previous college mental health experience, as well as demonstrated experience working with the issues noted in the position descriptions.
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position is $54,000 - $100,493.33. Compensation is determined by a number of factors, including the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
