University Master Police Officer

Georgetown University in Qatar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Police Officer to join our team. As a Master Police Officer, you will be responsible for protecting the life, well-being, and property of students, faculty, staff, visitors, dignitaries, and others through policing, patrol, event security, investigation, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform law enforcement functions on University property, including policing, patrol, event security, investigation, and emergency response.
- Support the University community by providing information and assistance, including preparing incident reports, conducting preliminary investigations, and providing first responder aid.
- Work closely with other Police Officers, Communication Officers, and Specialists to ensure the safety and security of the University community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with members of the University community, including students, faculty, and staff.
- Stay up-to-date with changing laws, policies, and procedures related to law enforcement and community policing.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent); College Degree Preferred.
- At least 3 years, preferably more, of security-related/law enforcement/military experience and community policing.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with no violations in the last three years and able to pass Georgetown University driver's certification.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation and qualify for a Campus Special Police Officer's Commission.
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certifications:
- Must have current certification in Baton/OC Spray with successful completion of Consortium of Universities Law Enforcement Academy or equivalent.
- Must possess intermediate knowledge of criminal and civil law and of police practices and procedures.
- Must be proficient using computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email, and/or the ability to learn these applications is essential.
Work Mode Designation:
Directly responsible to the Police Sergeant for fulfilling duties assigned, performing patrol functions, and specialized assignments according to all special and general orders in the protection of life and property at Georgetown University.
