The LaSalle Group is seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for maintaining the precision and reliability of our financial records, preparing comprehensive financial statements, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger, which includes preparing and posting journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and overseeing month-end closing procedures.
  • Regularly reconcile balance sheet accounts, identify any discrepancies, and implement necessary adjustments to guarantee precise financial reporting.
  • Spearhead the month-end closing process, including the preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and assistance as required.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with policies.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal entry postings is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
  • Strong comprehension of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to analyze financial data effectively.
  • Must possess advanced Excel skills.
