Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure the precision of the general ledger, which includes the preparation and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, identify any discrepancies, and implement necessary adjustments to guarantee precise financial reporting.
  • Spearhead the month-end closing process, which encompasses the preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and assistance as required.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with established policies.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and posting journal entries is required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is necessary.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
  • A solid understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to analyze financial data effectively.
  • Must possess strong Excel skills.
