POSITION SUMMARY
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will oversee a range of accounting functions while ensuring compliance with deadlines. This role requires adaptability to undertake various tasks and operate independently without direct oversight.

LOCATION
This position is based in our Nashville office, where we have adopted a hybrid work model. Team members are expected to work in the office three days a week, with future transitions being evaluated as we prioritize employee safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties:
While this list is not exhaustive, it highlights key responsibilities associated with this role:
- Exhibit expertise in financial reporting and general ledger management.
- Prepare and review journal entries for month-end closing, providing necessary reports to stakeholders.
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist in departmental and expense variance analysis.
- Manage fixed asset processes, including additions, classifications, depreciation, and participate in reviews.
- Support IT reporting, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives as required.
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare analytical reports and memorandums utilizing critical thinking.
- Aid in year-end audit processes.
- Engage in system testing as necessary.
- Collaborate with various departments on accounting-related matters.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
- Adhere to internal controls and accounting policies.
- Continuously enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional networking.
- Maintain high standards by implementing best practices.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in meetings with colleagues and executives.
- Cross-train with team members to enhance overall team capability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required; a Master's degree and/or CPA certification is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of four years of accounting experience is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
This role requires the following skills and abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access).
- Familiarity with Oracle Financials modules is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Understanding of relevant accounting policies and procedures.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to adapt to change and learn new processes quickly.
- A collaborative team player who is flexible and open to challenges.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
CPA certification is preferred.

SALARY RANGE
The specific salary offered will be determined based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change based on various factors. This position may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
