Milmission's Safe Harbor Division is dedicated to providing a secure and supportive environment for individuals in need. Our programs focus on addressing immediate emergencies while also offering long-term solutions to help individuals overcome challenges, gain employment, and rebuild their lives, all rooted in a spiritual foundation.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Christian man for the role of Safety and Guest Services Officer. This full-time position operates during the night shift and is crucial for maintaining the safety and well-being of our guests.

Work Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, with weekend availability as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and security of the facility, its guests, and staff.
  • Educate guests on the rules and regulations of the premises.
  • Conduct regular inspections and patrols to identify and report any damages or security risks.
  • Maintain secure access to restricted areas, preventing unauthorized entry.
  • Assess and manage potentially volatile situations to minimize disruptions.
  • Provide assistance in removing individuals engaged in suspicious or disruptive behavior when necessary.
  • Administer first aid and life-saving measures as required.
  • Perform breathalyzer tests when needed.
  • Coordinate with emergency services during high-risk situations.
  • Assist in identifying and reporting security or maintenance issues.
  • Support the Guest Care Team as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A mature Christian man with a servant's heart, capable of engaging positively with a diverse population.
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED is required.
  • Previous experience in security is preferred.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and equipment is advantageous.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire is necessary.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to manage difficult interactions with patience and tact.
  • Proficient in computer use and able to navigate relevant software.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Capable of handling physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Workplace demeanor must reflect a Christian environment: civil, respectful, and de-escalatory, even in challenging situations.
  • Agreement with and adherence to Milmission's Statement of Faith and Biblical Convictions is required.
  • Must be a committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, demonstrated through personal testimony and conduct.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test is mandatory.
