Job Summary

Milwaukee Repertory Theater seeks highly skilled and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Guest Services Associates. As a key member of our Front of House team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring seamless operations, and contributing to the overall success of our productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that Rep guests have a superior experience at Milwaukee Rep, providing prompt and courteous assistance, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Production Knowledge: Review key information around Rep productions and programs to answer questions from ushers and guests, and provide accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Front of House Operations: As a part of the Front of House team, you will be responsible for evacuation and emergency procedures, prioritizing the safety of guests, ushers, and staff.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of public areas, including the theater, lobbies, restrooms, and Gift Shop, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
  • Gift Shop Operations: Restock, clean, and prepare the Gift Shop for the public, and assist guests with questions and purchases.
  • Technical Support: Scan guest tickets, sign out Assisted Listening Devices, and troubleshoot devices to ensure they are in working order.
  • Communication: Provide information and answer guest questions, and communicate feedback to the House Manager.
  • Accessibility Support: Assist with seating of late patrons, and provide assistance to guests with concerns regarding access and ADA compliance.
  • Reporting and Training: Complete and submit necessary close of shift reports, and attend mandatory Front of House trainings and meetings.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma (or GED); college experience preferred, with experience working in customer service, ideally in special events or the performing arts.
  • Technical Skills: Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office Products in a PC environment.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy and sometimes stressful work environment.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to pass a background check, stand and/or walk throughout an entire shift, and lift up to 50 lbs., unassisted.
