Job Summary

Summary: Directly oversees food-service personnel in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Trains staff; plans, assigns, and directs work; evaluates performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves issues.
  • Advises management on purchasing needs with a focus on minimizing waste and preventing product shortages.
  • Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
  • Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with departmental procedures after each use.
  • Stores, labels, and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage to minimize spoilage and waste.
  • Adheres to HACCP guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of food supply.
  • Operates food-service equipment safely and according to established policies and procedures.
  • Assists in serving meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to gather customer feedback and comments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
