Overview:

BankTalent HQ is in search of a dedicated risk management professional to become a part of the Operational Risk Support team within the Operational Risk Management (ORM) division. This team is responsible for overseeing comprehensive programs that assist senior leadership in recognizing, evaluating, and monitoring significant risks and associated controls. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to facilitate control identification within Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs).
  • Validate control testing conducted by management.
  • Identify and evaluate critical risks (such as operational and financial reporting risks) and their corresponding controls.
  • Analyze risk and control data to provide valuable insights to management and other stakeholders.
  • Support ongoing enhancements to improve and streamline processes, focusing on efficiency and automation for both business and risk management teams.
  • Administer risk assessment and control testing programs using the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool.
  • Make recommendations and implement various operational risk management initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

The role requires adaptability, as Risk Analysts frequently assess various banking processes at both micro and macro levels and collaborate with management across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in audit, risk management, compliance, financial services, or a closely related field. A combination of education and experience may fulfill qualifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and other database, analysis, and reporting tools, including MS Power BI, along with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of risk and control assessment techniques, concepts, and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with various banking and governmental regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and in various support and leadership roles.
  • Advanced interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and process mapping skills, with knowledge of IBM Blue Works Live being a plus.
  • Awareness of process improvement and automation techniques.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
