Key Responsibilities:
The Risk Analyst will collaborate with team members to facilitate the identification of controls within Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), validate management control testing, generate control reports, and execute various ad hoc control projects. This role involves maintaining risk information within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool, while also providing guidance and reporting to management. The Risk Analyst will contribute leadership, analytical skills, and critical thinking necessary to enhance the risk/control environment at BankTalent HQ, implement the Risk Management framework, and support the organization's customer experience, operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability.
Specific Duties Include:
- Supporting the RCSA process in collaboration with managers across the organization.
- Reviewing control testing activities conducted by management.
- Identifying and evaluating key risks (such as operational and financial reporting) and their associated controls.
- Analyzing risk and control data to provide valuable insights to management and other stakeholders.
- Facilitating continuous improvements to enhance and streamline processes, while promoting efficiencies and automation for business and risk management teams.
- Administering risk assessment and control testing programs within the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tool.
- Making recommendations and developing operational risk management initiatives.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
The role is dynamic, as Risk Analysts frequently assess various bank processes at both micro and macro levels and collaborate with management throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in audit, risk management, compliance, financial services, or a closely related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and other database, analysis, and reporting tools, including MS Power BI, along with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with risk and control assessment techniques, concepts, and accounting principles.
- Understanding of various banking and government regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others in various support and leadership roles.
- Advanced interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and process mapping skills.
- Knowledge of process improvement and automation techniques.
- Strong project management capabilities.
