Role Overview:
The Senior Group Risk Specialist delivers a broad spectrum of risk management knowledge to organizational leaders.

This role involves leading and facilitating the adoption of effective risk frameworks and managing activities aimed at reducing enterprise-wide risk exposures across key business segments.

Responsibilities include providing oversight, strategic insights, and recommendations based on industry best practices.

- Offers advisory services to senior executives and business leaders, governing requirements for their work.
- Integrates understanding of the business segment's strategy into program design and policy formulation.

- Acts as a source of expert advice to senior management, potentially leading teams of specialists.
- Advises on execution strategies and oversees the development of functional programs within the field.
- Resolves unique and complex issues with significant operational and financial implications.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or technical certification and/or 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced understanding of risk management governance, policies, and reporting.
- Knowledge of risk management standards and regulations.
- Ability to contribute to strategic direction and provide counsel to senior leadership.
- Skills in mentoring, analytical software tools, and data analysis.
- Proven ability to lead and evaluate project activities to ensure initiative completion.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
- Sound judgment in decision-making and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.

Accountabilities:
- Develops and implements standards and processes to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Analyzes potential risks and escalates key findings to appropriate leadership.
- Provides ongoing analysis and reporting on operational risks and collaborates with leaders to address key issues.
- Guides activities related to core operational risk disciplines and supports enterprise-wide risk management processes.
- Monitors Key Risk Indicators and facilitates communication regarding risk issues.
- May oversee ancillary operational risk areas and provide support for major risk categories.
