Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Ballenger Landcare LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of landscaping systems for commercial properties in Hillsborough County and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate the work of laborers and other staff members to ensure timely completion of projects within budget limitations
  • Manage project budgets by ordering supplies and labor as needed
  • Maintain records of work performed on each project, including expenses and materials used
  • Ensure quality control and promote a positive culture focused on safety and continuous improvement
  • Review plans and designs created by designers to ensure compliance with zoning regulations and city codes
  • Consult with architects, designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure compatibility between construction projects and site conditions
  • Install and repair landscaping systems for commercial properties
  • Coordinate with other team members to schedule work activities and track progress
  • Communicate with clients to discuss project goals and expectations
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor/Manager in Irrigation or a similar role is required
  • Well-versed in all aspects of our operation, including Landscape Construction, Irrigation, and Landscape Maintenance
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively
  • Knowledge of garden and landscape maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with irrigation system components, such as pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, pumps, and controllers
  • Understanding of lawn care principles and water management practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve landscape system issues
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in installation and repair work
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent organizational skills and project management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, adjust to constant changes, handle multiple tasks, and coordinate the work of others
  • Ability to keep complex records, assemble and organize data of complex nature, and prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats and in a timely manner
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively
  • Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness
  • Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships
  • Must be able to lift, reach, bend, twist, push, pull, squat, grasp, and use arm-hand coordination on a consistent basis
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings as business demands
  • Must be able to stand for up to four hours
  • Bilingual is a must
