Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Landscape Maintenance Supervisor to manage a team effectively. The ideal candidate will adhere to company protocols and ensure that daily tasks are executed within the designated timeframe. Accurate management of daily logs and equipment inventories is essential. A strong commitment to punctuality and attention to landscaping precision is required. A valid driver's license with company insurance eligibility is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee scheduled tasks, assign and guide crew members in their duties and responsibilities on-site, and coordinate work activities.

Operate, maintain, and inspect landscaping machinery, reporting any issues to the maintenance department.

Train and guide crew members in performing all aspects of landscaping services.

Ensure crew compliance with safety regulations, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in line with OSHA standards, and adhere to company safety policies.

Comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Contribute to the overall organization and cleanliness of landscaping equipment, vehicles, and facilities.

Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance when interacting with company personnel and clients.

Job Qualifications:

Ability to lift, push, pull, carry (up to 50 pounds) and remain in a standing, kneeling, or bending position for extended periods.

Ability to endure various outdoor weather conditions, including humidity, rain, and extreme temperatures.

Must be capable of:

  • Working full-time, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Providing valid documentation of authorization to work in the United States.
  • Exhibiting punctuality and maintaining an excellent attendance record.
  • Safely operating landscaping and irrigation tools (gas-powered equipment).
  • Identifying common plants, trees, and turf types along with their watering requirements.
  • Utilizing hand tools such as rakes, shovels, pruners, augers, tillers, and cultivators.
  • Installing or removing sod, applying mulch, fertilizers, and soil amendments.
  • Installing edging materials including wood, steel, stone, or composite.
  • Planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and ground covers.
  • Hand watering sod, shrubs, trees, and ground covers appropriately.
  • Leading and directing crew member activities and work sequencing.
  • Managing budgeted labor hours per project and reporting completion times and logs.
  • Communicating equipment, labor, and material needs to management.
  • Identifying utility locations prior to excavation and reporting hazards on job sites.
