Key Responsibilities

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with Florida flora and the Florida Grades and Standards for Nursery Plants.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of landscape installation and maintenance techniques.
  • Understanding of irrigation systems.
  • Proficient in the tools and equipment utilized in the landscape industry.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and details.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Driven and dedicated to producing high-quality work.
  • Capable of managing projects and adapting to changing schedules.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Florida.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct inspections of landscape projects to verify adherence to contract specifications.
  • Generate photo-documented reports.
  • Maintain daily logs and track project progress.
  • Engage in professional communication with contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Identify construction deficiencies, assess corrective measures, and formulate responses.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with team members.
  • Attend construction progress meetings.

Qualifications

  • Green industry certifications such as ISA, LIAF, FNGLA, or the ability to obtain them.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based on the position.

Performance Expectations

  • Accurately document and report daily activities as per project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors.
  • Proactively address issues at the earliest opportunity.
  • Adhere to project scope, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Review all work for completeness and accuracy before submission.
  • Submit accurate time sheets, mileage, and expense reports punctually each week.
  • Conduct daily safety assessments on job sites and take immediate action to document and resolve issues.
  • Understand and comply with OSHA Safety Standards and KCI corporate policies at all times.
  • Maintain all required certifications and participate in necessary training programs.
  • Comprehend all applicable industry standards for projects and execute tasks accordingly.
