Position Title: Aerospace Tooling Stress Engineer
Work Schedule: Day Shift
Role Overview
As an Aerospace Tooling Stress Engineer, you will collaborate with a team dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions for critical aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis to develop structural engineering specifications utilizing various materials, including metallic, non-metallic, and composites.
- Employ computer-aided design, mathematical modeling, and software tools to formulate, analyze, and enhance structures intended for manufacturing processes.
- Assess models to evaluate damage tolerance, durability, and stability to establish optimal structural configurations.
- Lead documentation efforts, inspect damaged or malfunctioning products, and prepare technical reports or product manuals.
- Contribute to the development of innovative methods and processes for the business development team.
- Assist in training or startup activities (travel may be necessary).
- Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and ITAR compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proficient in researching, analyzing, and creating structural engineering specifications with various materials.
- Skilled in utilizing computer-aided design and mathematical models for structural analysis.
- Experienced in evaluating models for damage tolerance and stability assessments.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of static structural analysis and finite element methods.
- Proficiency in at least one modern FEM software package.
- Experience analyzing complex structures in a manufacturing context.
- Strong computer skills with substantial experience in CAD, CAM, and FEM applications.
Educational Background
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Note: Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. citizenship or valid Permanent Resident status is required.
