Position Overview

As the Senior Human Resources Operations Specialist for Total Rewards, you will serve as the expert on Mediavine's total rewards offerings, collaborate closely with legal teams on compliance issues, and advocate for our employer value proposition (EVP). Within the People Operations team, you will manage our relationship with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO), assessing their services and implementing necessary adjustments. Your extensive background in benefits management and employee engagement will make you an invaluable asset to our team. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee programs including benefits, leave, perks, wellness, compliance, and health and safety.
  • Ensure equitable application of employee benefits and perks to attract and retain top talent.
  • Collaborate with the People Operations Leadership team to align total rewards strategies with business objectives and organizational culture.
  • Manage the relationship with our current PEO, ensuring optimal benefits and recommending necessary changes.
  • Administer Mediavine's PEO portal, focusing on team member education and engagement.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process, including communication and education for team members.
  • Oversee all aspects of employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with legal standards and timely processing of requests.
  • Manage a competitive 401k plan, including Plan Administrator duties and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Act as leave administrator, supporting team members and maintaining program standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all rewards programs according to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay informed on labor and employment laws, partnering with legal for necessary workforce changes.
  • Administer accommodations as required by the ADA, ensuring compliance and support for team members.
  • Develop communications to keep leaders and team members informed about total rewards and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with leadership on continuous improvement of onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of processes within the People Operations department.
  • Work with team members to promote engagement opportunities, fostering a positive employee experience.
  • Create and deliver educational materials regarding total rewards programs and updates.
  • Willingness to travel for team retreats and annual events approximately 20% of the time.
Qualifications

Location: Applicants must be based in the United States.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience across various disciplines including Benefits/Total Rewards, Compliance, Operations, and Compensation.
  • 5+ years of experience in establishing and managing employee benefit/rewards programs.
  • 3+ years of experience providing HR support to a distributed remote workforce.
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with a PEO in a co-employer relationship.
  • Experience with transitioning PEO partnerships is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mid-market HR tools such as BambooHR, Lattice, and CultureAmp, as well as tools like Google Suite, Notion, and Slack.
  • Experience managing compliance related to federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience handling employee relations matters with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Experience with leave management, particularly regarding state variances.
  • Ability to conduct and present research and analysis of market data supporting competitive and inclusive benefits programs.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand organizational needs.
