• Develops and updates job descriptions to accurately represent the responsibilities and expectations of each position.


• Conducts interviews with managers and staff to collect detailed information about job functions, responsibilities, and necessary skills.


• Evaluates job roles to classify them as exempt or non-exempt based on established criteria.


• Compares job roles against market data and industry benchmarks to establish competitive salary ranges.


• Maintains job classifications and salary structures to ensure alignment with market trends.


• Collects and analyzes data from compensation surveys, utilizing spreadsheet and analytical skills to interpret findings.


• Works collaboratively with the communications team to develop strategies that inform employees and management about compensation initiatives.


• Conducts ongoing analysis of compensation practices and provides recommendations for adjustments related to promotions, transfers, and bonuses.


• Prepares and delivers summaries of compensation analysis findings.


• Manages variable compensation programs, ensuring compliance with established criteria and accurate execution of payments.


• Ensures that compensation plans are executed within budgetary constraints and comply with company policies.


• Supports performance evaluation and merit increase processes, assisting management as needed.


• Reviews and approves payroll requests for retroactive payments or one-time bonuses.


• Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance operational processes.


• Performs data entry and validation tasks as required.

Qualifications:


• Proficient in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies with the ability to provide actionable recommendations.


• Strong understanding of human resources legislation, regulations, and best practices.


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.


• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookup, and conditional functions.


• Familiarity with fundamental compensation principles and terminology.


• Capable of articulating compensation philosophy and influencing stakeholder behavior through effective communication.


• In-depth knowledge of HR systems and their interdependencies.


• Awareness of the downstream effects of data transactions.


• Basic understanding of payroll processes.


• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. HR certification is a plus.


• 1-3 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on Compensation, HR Systems, or Benefits.
