The Production Scheduling Analyst is responsible for developing and managing manufacturing production timelines, evaluating changes, and enhancing processes as required. This role involves monitoring material availability and identifying potential production issues to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are accessible when needed. The analyst prepares reports on ongoing work and coordinates material requirements to maintain a seamless flow of approved materials aligned with production needs. This position also involves collaborating with various departments, including quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and inventory control. The analyst will schedule and expedite the movement of components through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests, while also reviewing and maintaining the master production schedule (MPS).

Key Responsibilities

Assess and coordinate material needs to ensure a steady flow of approved materials that meet production and customer demands. Monitor and evaluate the status of ongoing assemblies, material availability, and potential production or depot challenges. Address any production or depot issues to guarantee that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are available as required. Manage and analyze multiple moderate complexity Bills of Material within an MRP system. Confirm material supply requirements and generate necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory levels. Summarize the impact of inventory shortages on assemblies and end items that are scheduled for production. Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering teams. Recommend solutions to prevent work stoppages that may arise from delays in material orders. Engage with internal stakeholders. Participate in projects and teams aimed at continuous improvement. This is an onsite role.

Required Qualifications

A University Degree and less than 2 years of relevant experience. Experience in areas such as Supply Chain, Production Planning, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, or Delivery Administration. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is mandatory. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management. Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems. Experience with government and depot processes. Ability to read and assess lists of parts required for production and work with a production planning system. Proven experience in collaborating and communicating effectively across all organizational levels and with a large external customer base. Current DOD Security Clearance. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Role Type Definition

Onsite: Employees in onsite roles will primarily work on-site, which includes all production and maintenance personnel, essential for product development.

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD, reflecting a good faith estimate for various experience levels. RTX considers multiple factors when extending an offer, including role responsibilities, candidate experience, location, education, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for various benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and more, depending on the specific business unit and whether the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
