The Production Scheduling Analyst is responsible for orchestrating and organizing manufacturing schedules, evaluating modifications, and enhancing operational processes as required. This role involves monitoring material availability and identifying potential production challenges to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are in place as necessary. The analyst prepares progress reports and coordinates material needs to guarantee a systematic flow of approved materials aligned with production demands. Additionally, this position involves coordinating activities across departments including quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and inventory control. The analyst also schedules and accelerates the movement of components through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests, while maintaining the master production schedule (MPS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and coordinate material needs to ensure a systematic flow of approved materials aligned with production/customer demands.
  • Monitor and evaluate ongoing assemblies, material availability, and potential production or depot issues.
  • Address any production or depot challenges to ensure the provision of necessary personnel, equipment, materials, and services.
  • Manage and analyze multiple moderate complexity Bills of Material within an MRP system.
  • Validate material supply demands and generate necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory needs.
  • Summarize impacts of inventory shortages on assemblies and end items released to the production floor.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering teams.
  • Propose solutions to prevent work stoppages due to delays in material orders.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in projects and teams aimed at continuous improvement.
  • This position requires onsite presence.

Required Qualifications:

  • A University Degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in areas such as Supply Chain, Production Planning, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, or related fields.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is essential; U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with government and depot processes.
  • Proficiency in reading and assessing parts lists for production and utilizing production planning systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels and with a diverse external customer base.
  • Current DOD Security Clearance.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
