Job Overview

Summary:
The Associate Business Systems Analyst acts as the initial point of contact for designated systems applications that facilitate the creation and management of data in alignment with departmental procedures, local and cross-company business needs, and relevant regulatory bodies.

This role ensures that processes are current and reflect best practices while adhering to global standards.

This position offers tier 1 business systems support concerning master data and conducts systems audits as necessary to uphold data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical and Production:
    • Front-End Business Support: Provides fundamental functional support for operational systems applications.
    • Addresses master data issues as required.
    • Maintains and/or acquires essential training materials, documentation, and user manuals for reference. Develops training resources and facilitates user training sessions.
    • May engage in project activities.
  • Front-End Business Configuration:
    • Conducts systems audits as necessary to ensure data integrity.
    • Performs basic validation testing.
    • Collaborates with System Validation, IT, and/or Quality teams to guarantee proper testing of specified functionalities.
    • Utilizes technology tools and system knowledge to enhance physical and informational workflows.
    • Completes tasks following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Business Master Data / Data Stewardship:
    • Implements master data modifications in accordance with change control protocols.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration:
    • Develops a foundational understanding of customer requirements from both business and technical perspectives.
    • Effectively collaborates with internal and external team members to fulfill requested changes and updates.
    • Acts as a backup resource for other Business Systems Analyst Associates as necessary.
  • Safety and Quality:
    • Operates with a focus on safety and quality.
    • Ensures compliance with training requirements.
    • Maintains up-to-date process information and documentation according to internal and external standards.
    • Adheres to quality system compliance by following established processes and procedures.
    • Participates in refining clear instructions, procedures, and process flows that document existing departmental practices related to Product Information and Implementation.
    • Creates, updates, or maintains departmental procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Maintains knowledge of and may be proficient in lean tools as required by organizational leadership.
    • May leverage technology tools to deliver system solutions aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and streamlining processes.
    • May assess group processes and implement process simplification as needed.
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
  • 5 years in a manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or regulated environment utilizing business systems to execute operations (Required).
  • 5 years of experience directly working with or supporting SAP applications, other ERP solutions, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with change and/or configuration management principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Effective time-management, planning, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google applications.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning system applications.
  • Participates in a rotating on-call schedule with other team members, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • General configurations using Python coding.
  • Conducts local day-to-day SAP Production master data creation and maintenance activities.
  • Handles item number creation and SAP Material master creation and maintenance.
