The Production Scheduling Analyst is responsible for orchestrating and preparing manufacturing schedules, evaluating modifications, and enhancing processes as needed. This role involves monitoring material availability and identifying potential production challenges to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are ready when required. The analyst will generate reports on ongoing work and coordinate material needs to guarantee a seamless flow of approved materials aligned with production demands. Additionally, this position involves coordinating interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and other teams. The analyst will schedule and expedite the movement of components through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests, while also reviewing and maintaining the master production schedule (MPS).

Key Responsibilities

Assess and coordinate material requirements to ensure a steady flow of approved materials aligned with production/customer needs. Monitor and evaluate the status of assemblies in progress, material availability, and potential production or depot issues. Address any production or depot challenges to ensure the availability of personnel, equipment, materials, and services. Manage and analyze multiple moderate complexity Bills of Material within an MRP system. Confirm material supply and demand, preparing necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory needs. Summarize the impact of inventory shortages on assemblies and end items released to the production floor. Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering teams. Propose solutions to mitigate work stoppages due to delays in material orders. Engage with internal customers effectively. Participate in projects and teams aimed at continuous improvement. This is an onsite role.

Required Qualifications

A University Degree and less than 2 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with any of the following: Supply Chain, Production and/or Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Property Management, JIT Concepts, Master Production Scheduling, or Delivery Administration. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory for security clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems. Knowledge of Government and Depot processes. Experience in reading and evaluating parts lists required for production and working with production planning systems. Proven ability to interface, collaborate, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels and with a broad external customer base. Current DOD Security Clearance. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Role Type Definition

Onsite: Employees in onsite roles will primarily work at the designated location, including all production and maintenance personnel, who are crucial to product development.

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD, reflecting a good faith estimate across all experience levels. RTX considers various factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, candidate experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance programs, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits depend on the business unit and whether the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may also qualify for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs based on position level and collective-bargaining agreement coverage. Payments under these programs are not guaranteed and depend on various factors, including individual and business unit performance. This role is based in the U.S. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
