Role in the Organization

The Digital Application & Innovation Commercial Solution Area (CSA) is pivotal in shaping the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, which includes planning, program development, field execution, and the Rhythm of the Business. This is achieved in collaboration with corporate stakeholders to ensure that the field is equipped with the necessary tools for success in guiding our customers through their journey.

As the Lead for Sales Strategy and Enablement within the Digital Application & Innovation CSA, you should possess a profound curiosity and understanding of the complete sales cycle and customer journey, along with a strong appreciation for fostering a seller community.

Key Responsibilities

You will collaborate with our global Digital Apps & Innovation CSA, working closely with internal and field teams to achieve the following:

  • Ensure effective end-to-end sales capabilities and empower sellers to execute against the Digital Apps & Innovation solution strategies.
  • Support the community of specialist roles in the field through engagement, education, and advocacy.
  • Facilitate regular connections with field teams, acting as a liaison to share insights back to the business from the community.

Sales Strategy Leadership

As a project lead, you will:

  • Develop, drive, and execute multiple Sales Strategy projects and programs across organizational boundaries.
  • Identify and address complex roadblocks proactively.
  • Initiate and manage various projects, including defining plans, goals, deliverables, and timing expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Establish and maintain key relationships with internal teams, including Finance, Marketing, Engineering, and Field Sales. You will:

  • Advise senior leadership on strategic sales planning decisions.
  • Influence alignment and motivate others towards common goals.
Sales Insights and Activation

Work alongside business, platform, and tools experts to:

  • Provide updates and report key metrics to assist sales teams.
  • Address any escalations related to tools, platforms, or business needs.
Sales Strategy Implementation

Contribute to landing strategies across various Microsoft sales and planning activities by:

  • Collaborating with Field and Corporate leaders to identify focus areas.
  • Integrating change management communicated by senior stakeholders.
Problem Solving and Insights

Synthesize findings into actionable insights across sales projects, leveraging executive presence to:

  • Influence decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Create frameworks for effective problem-solving.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of experience in relevant areas.
  • 3+ years of experience in Near Term Strategy, Management Consulting, or Finance.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field with 6+ years of experience in marketing, strategy, sales, or related fields.
  • Experience in instructional design.
