Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior HVAC Account Manager who will be based in Phoenix, AZ, with the flexibility to work remotely. This role requires travel up to 50%.
This position is responsible for overseeing the performance and fostering relationships with designated accounts. Key responsibilities include ensuring customer retention, meeting established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), achieving revenue and margin goals, enhancing client satisfaction, and driving account growth.
In collaboration with the General Manager and Vice President, the Senior HVAC Account Manager will contribute to the strategic direction and execution of account management. This role involves leading and partnering with internal teams (Sales, Field Operations, Procurement, and Finance) to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and timely resolution of customer and service provider issues. Strong expertise in HVAC systems, financial management, communication, and analytical skills are essential.
As the inaugural account manager for the EMS HVAC National Account Team, this individual will work closely with leadership to establish standardized processes for managing initial accounts, which will be refined for future engagements. The aim is to build a robust team where future account managers may report to this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with EMCOR Operating Companies to achieve account management objectives.
- Engage with the EMCOR National HVAC Sales and Commercial Solutions Teams.
- Drive continuous improvements in processes.
- Lead the Accounts team, focusing on development and training for team members, including operations managers and coordinators.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution; an MBA is preferred (degree requirement may be waived with equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Facilities Management or Operations.
- Experience in building maintenance or trades (HVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing) is essential, with a preference for candidates who have worked in multi-site and multi-state national account operations.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to various locations as required.
Compensation and Benefits: EMCOR Government Services offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $150,000, along with performance-based incentives.
