Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

The Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in managing incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy in shipment records, and facilitating the distribution of materials and components within the organization.

Core Duties:
  • Inspect shipments to verify product quality and quantity against purchase orders (40%).
  • Unload freight and acknowledge receipt of goods (20%).
  • Distribute products to designated inventory locations or personnel (10%).
  • Adjust inventory locations as required (5%).
  • Collaborate with Purchasing or vendors to address product issues (5%).
  • Coordinate large deliveries and outgoing freight shipments to appropriate destinations (5%).
  • Organize customer-supplied equipment in designated areas (5%).
  • Manage the disposal of company waste materials (5%).
  • Oversee the removal of recyclable materials (5%).
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and willingness to learn Data Warehouse/Plex MRP systems.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Forklift certification and experience with reach trucks are advantageous.
  • Focused on solutions and driven by process improvements.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand and use hands for handling objects and tools.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and perform various physical activities.
  • Regularly lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds and frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Vision capabilities include close and peripheral vision.
