Key Responsibilities:

The Receiving Clerk is accountable for managing incoming deliveries, validating shipment documentation, accepting goods, and distributing materials and components within the organization.

Core Duties:
  • Inspect shipments to ensure product quality and quantity align with purchase orders (40%).
  • Unload freight and acknowledge freight bills of lading (20%).
  • Distribute products to designated inventory locations or personnel (10%).
  • Adjust inventory locations as needed (5%).
  • Collaborate with Purchasing or vendors to address product issues (5%).
  • Coordinate oversized deliveries and large outgoing shipments to appropriate destinations (5%).
  • Organize customer-supplied equipment in designated areas (5%).
  • Facilitate the removal of waste from converting equipment (5%).
  • Manage the disposal of waste wood, pallets, and recyclable materials (5%).
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and willingness to learn Data Warehouse/Plex MRP systems.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Forklift certification and experience with reach trucks are advantageous.
  • Focus on solutions and driven by process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand and use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, reach above shoulders, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear, and operate machinery with feet.
  • Frequently lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Vision capabilities include close and peripheral vision.
