Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to contribute to our financial operations. This full-time, permanent role offers a unique chance to be integral to our financial management. The ideal candidate will oversee financial data accuracy and compliance by maintaining precise records for accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily bookkeeping and accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
2. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Assist in developing the annual budget and conducting periodic forecasts.
4. Ensure timely processing of invoices and purchase orders.
5. Manage collections of overdue accounts to maintain positive cash flow.
6. Maintain organized and accurate filing systems.
7. Collaborate with external tax accountants for year-end tax strategies.
8. Conduct internal audits and support external audits as required.
9. Ensure adherence to all internal financial processes.
10. Work with the team to enhance financial processes and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management is preferred but not mandatory.
2. At least 1 year of experience in a staff accountant position.
3. Experience in the construction sector is advantageous.
4. Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis.
5. Proven track record in accounts receivable and collections management.
6. Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software.
8. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
10. Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
