Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Administrator to join our team at JEA. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our employees and external customers.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, with experience working with Oracle or a comparable human resources information system. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including monitoring benefit and retirement programs for compliance with local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs assigned tasks, is punctual and follows rules, policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with payroll to ensure proper benefit enrollment and deductions.
  • Monitors benefit and retirement programs for compliance with local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
  • Distinguishes key facts, comprehends content and prepares basic summaries or reports based on information.
  • Investigates and resolves benefit issues between employees and benefit carriers.
  • Identifies and documents gaps in the Human Resource Information System and related applications and recommends system design changes.
  • Examines information or data for possible solutions. Analyzes probable causes or reasons for the problem.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* A seven (7) year combination of education, training and experience in benefits administration, which must include experience working with Oracle or a comparable human resources information system.
* A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred.
* Valid driver's license required prior to employment and must be maintained during employment in this classification.

Estimated Salary: $57,860 annually

This salary range is commensurate with education, licenses, certifications, skills, and experience.
