Position Overview:

Belden is in search of a Lead Frontend Architect to spearhead the development of our next-generation products tailored to meet customer demands. The Lead Architect will leverage extensive professional expertise and a deep understanding of customer environments to propose and create innovative solutions to complex challenges. They will apply their knowledge of engineering principles, product lifecycle, and technological advancements to align and resolve issues across various product lines utilizing similar technologies. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, inquisitive, and focused on technology, remote collaboration, and the application of engineering principles, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the infrastructure and software architecture for React-based front-end solutions related to specific products and projects.
  • Serve as a mentor and leader to offshore teams, overseeing code reviews, best practices, architectural design, product strategy, and code quality.
  • Develop platform software and collaborate across engineering divisions to optimize the use of emerging platform technologies and standards.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Architects, Product Owners, and Executive leaders to define both business and technical strategies.
  • Collaborate with global engineering leaders across various Belden divisions to promote and drive the adoption of innovative practices and standards.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in front-end development.
  • 5+ years in architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of micro front-end solutions that integrate with distributed service-oriented architectures, ensuring availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Proficient in UI and UX principles utilizing modular and reusable UI components.
  • Experience in refactoring extensive codebases using safe methodologies.
  • Skilled in building CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices, along with version control and system testing using GitLab and Jenkins.
  • Ability to derive actionable insights from monitoring tools such as Datadog, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with programming and scripting languages including JavaScript, CSS, and Go.
  • Willingness to learn and impart knowledge on complex technologies.
