Position Summary/General Description:


A Gaming Machine Attendant oversees and monitors all activities within the designated area, providing assistance and guidance on machine operations and payouts while ensuring guests enjoy a positive gaming and entertainment experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Comply with Slot Department Policies, as well as applicable gaming regulations and laws.

Safeguard and manage sensitive keys and cash currency (e.g., issue, count, verify, sign for banks issued and balance bank) to protect company assets, facilitate hand-pay jackpots, exchange currency, and assist guests.

Collaborate effectively with team members (e.g., work towards collective goals, foster a supportive work atmosphere; prioritize team success; assist colleagues; treat all coworkers with kindness and respect; maintain a positive attitude; remain open to feedback and improvement).

Perform duties under pressure; maintain regular attendance, including odd hours, weekends, and holidays.
Execute job responsibilities with minimal supervision while adhering to management directives.
Keep accurate records (e.g., progressive logs, Multiple Transaction Log (MTL), override and taxable logs).

Assist in resolving guest complaints and situations (e.g., gather information to address issues and make decisions confidently and accurately, exercise tact and courtesy) in a calm and professional manner while interacting on the gaming floor.

Maintain communication with slot personnel, security, and surveillance as assigned. Communicate clearly and accurately, understand radio transmissions, and operate assigned equipment.
Perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Maintain knowledge of various slot machine types. Identify major malfunctions and rectify minor issues (e.g., ticket printer jams, bill validator jams, etc.).

Complete necessary paperwork accurately and neatly, and reset slot machines after hand pay jackpot payouts, under supervision.

Ensure cleanliness of the gaming floor (e.g., keep chairs organized, dispose of waste) to foster a welcoming player environment.
Circulate the gaming area to ensure slot machine lights and guests receive timely attention.

Notify supervisors or technicians of customer needs and requests; follow up to ensure positive guest relations.

Assist in maintaining security on the gaming floor by reporting any suspicious activities to management.

At all times, maintain a courteous, positive, and professional relationship with all personnel and the general public (e.g., coworkers, clients, and vendors).

Build rapport and loyalty with guests through genuine interactions (e.g., learn guests' names and preferences; connect with them personally and professionally; smile; make eye contact and greet guests from arrival to departure; and provide prompt and friendly service).

Develop a comprehensive understanding of services, room locations, amenities, and surroundings, providing accurate directions and information for guest inquiries about promotions and events.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or GED Certification preferred.
Relevant work experience is required.

Licensing & Certification:

None.

Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:

Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
10 key calculator, changer, and money pouch.

2-way communication radio.

Essential Physical Requirements:


Requires the ability to bend, crouch, hear, reach overhead, stand, talk, turn, walk, and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.

Requires the ability to push/pull, carry, and lift 50+ lbs. % of the time.
Requires the ability to slide/transfer 1-50+ lbs. 25-50% of the time.

Essential Mental Demands:

Requires the ability to solve problems, organize, plan, make decisions, interpret data, read, and write 51-100% of the time.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Work Environment (inside/outside):

The job is performed indoors with frequent exposure to loud noises and fumes (e.g., cigarette smoke).

Other Requirements:

Obtain and maintain a gaming license through the appropriate Gaming Control Board.
Comply with company policies and federal regulations by acquiring and/or maintaining necessary certifications.
Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screening and cashier test.
