Position Title: Security Surveillance Specialist
Department: Surveillance
Employment Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Summary/General Description:
A Security Surveillance Specialist utilizes advanced audio and video technology to monitor and report on unlawful activities and ensure adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain video/audio surveillance systems to oversee gaming operations across various areas, including but not limited to: casino table games, cashier areas, video slot machines, dining establishments, coin booths, counting rooms, storage areas, vaults, entrances, outdoor spaces, parking lots, stairways, and communal areas.
Monitor financial transactions and document any procedural discrepancies.
Maintain confidentiality regarding all job-related information, reports, and investigations.
Work effectively under pressure; maintain regular attendance, including odd hours, weekends, and holidays.
Adhere to standard operating procedures and departmental guidelines.
Possess knowledge of or be willing to learn gaming regulations and procedures for table games and video slots.
Maintain communication with security staff, casino management, and other surveillance team members as assigned. Communicate clearly and understand radio communications while operating assigned equipment.
Contribute to an established operational hierarchy.
Prepare and keep an official log of departmental activities.
Gather and document evidence for casino and legal purposes.
Make swift decisions in high-pressure situations.
Draft written reports and other necessary documentation.
Effectively operate a hand controller lever.
Visually analyze screen images and provide recommendations.
Be a collaborative team member, working towards collective goals and fostering a positive work environment.
Perform basic mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently.
Execute repetitive tasks over extended periods.
Maintain a courteous, positive, and professional relationship with all personnel and the public.
Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Two years of relevant experience in surveillance, security, table games, slots, or casino cashier roles involving money handling preferred.
Prior surveillance experience is advantageous.
Licensing & Certification:
No specific licensing required.
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Essential Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, talk, and use hands repetitively for a significant portion of the time.
Vision must be correctable to 20/20 with no color blindness.
Ability to hear effectively.
Ability to balance, climb, bend, crawl, crouch, reach overhead, stand, walk, and twist occasionally.
Ability to push, pull, carry, lift, and transfer light weights occasionally.
Essential Mental Demands:
Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and read/write extensively.
Ability to organize and interpret data as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Work Environment:
The position is primarily indoors within a controlled environment.
Other Requirements:
Must obtain and maintain a gaming license as required.
Compliance with relevant regulations and training requirements is necessary.
Successful completion of pre-employment screenings is required.
