Job Summary:

The Slot Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repairs, and general operating condition of slot machines and Electronic Boards at Sandia Resort & Casino. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure a consistent and professional corporate image.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train slot technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Responsible for following internal control procedures related to machine removal, installation, maintenance, and key control.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program and maintain accurate logs.
  • Track and manage slot machine and parts inventory.
  • Monitor training requirements for all slot technicians and ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Order slot machine parts and supplies as needed.
  • Assist in annual evaluations of slot technicians and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Delegate work projects and ensure they are completed on time.
  • Adhere to Title 31 procedures and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to implement and administer disciplinary procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and develop timelines, project resources, monitor, and evaluate results.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Ability to deal effectively with the general public and casino staff.
  • Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to develop and implement training needs for employees and Tribal members.
  • Knowledge of casino operations, Tribal, federal, and state reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of all slot and gaming equipment.
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure and levels of stress.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of slot tech experience, including six (6) months of supervisory experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Licensing Status:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  • Will require a post-offer, pre-employment, and random drug screening.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed indoors.
  • Work hours subject to change with overtime required.
  • Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
  • Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, and elevated noise levels.
  • Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard, and soft carpeted floors, cement structures, and surfaces.
  • Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting, and crouching.
  • Specific required movements include the following:
  • Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry.
  • Arms-reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate.
  • L legs-lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate.
  • Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity.
