Position Summary:
The Gaming Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the completion of drop verification processes, ensuring accuracy in bill validator reports, and guaranteeing that team members adhere to established protocols and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the core values, policies, and procedures of Route 66 Casino Hotel.
- Serve as a role model for colleagues and guests alike.
- Foster a respectful and positive environment for both customers and team members.
- Demonstrate punctuality and readiness to fulfill job responsibilities.
Essential Duties:
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the drop/count procedures in large-scale operations.
- Supervise and engage in daily drop/count activities, ensuring compliance with established protocols, including the management of bill validators and the accurate sorting of cash and chips.
- Oversee the completion of drop verification and bill validator documentation, maintaining precise records of all transactions.
- Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills, addressing inquiries and concerns from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver exceptional service to all patrons and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Ensure that all team members are adequately trained on relevant equipment and processes, while effectively assigning tasks to the drop/count team.
- Enforce compliance with dress code regulations during count room operations.
- Adhere to all administrative policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain flexibility to attend meetings as required.
- Communicate regularly with the main cage regarding operational updates.
- Manage the signing in and out of keys for drop/count activities.
- Coordinate with surveillance to ensure proper monitoring during drop/count processes.
- Conduct equipment checks prior to counts to ensure operational readiness.
- Complete attendance records and manage breaks based on workload.
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is submitted to the accounting department post-count.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the service technician promptly.
- Participate in the Supervisory Development Leadership Series annually.
- Build rapport with guests through meaningful interactions and personalized service.
- Promote teamwork and a collaborative work environment.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the casino's services and amenities to assist guests effectively.
- Maintain professional relationships with all personnel and the public.
- Work effectively under pressure and maintain consistent attendance, including availability during weekends and holidays.
- Manage hiring, training, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 0-1 year of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a related field.
- Prior experience in drop/count operations is required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with timekeeping and purchasing software.
- Experience operating counting equipment such as money sorters and calculators.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Capable of handling weights of up to 50 lbs.
Mental Demands:
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Work Environment:
- This position operates in a professional office setting and within a casino environment, with potential exposure to smoke.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must obtain and maintain a gaming license as required.
- Compliance with all relevant regulations and certifications is mandatory.
