Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Manager to join our team at CAE Simuflite. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical operations, ensuring the reliability and performance of our flight training devices, and managing a team of technical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical operations, planning, directing, and organizing technical activities to meet key operational metrics.
  • Manage and ensure the training readiness of all simulators as required.
  • Manage overall technical staff guidance, direction, and leadership to ensure equipment reliability remains at peak performance.
  • Manage resources and costs effectively to meet technical budget objectives.
  • Responsible for improvement of processes to improve technical operations and quality of training devices.
  • Manage simulator discrepancies and ensure discrepancies are accurately prioritized and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Manage training restrictions on the simulators and ensure necessary resources are available to correct discrepancies.
  • Manage recruiting, hiring, and developing sufficient staff to achieve accountabilities and deliver professional technical services.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and flexible with capacity to accept change.
  • Direct management experience in setting and evaluating performance measures for employees to drive business results.
  • Demonstrate integrity and discretion in handling sensitive/confidential information.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills that will impact team performance.
  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations governed by general policy.
  • Ability to work well alone and in a team environment.
  • Exercises independent judgment and initiative in planning, scheduling, and organization of work assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Application.
  • Degree in technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
