Candidate Profile (Requirements):

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related Technical College degree, along with 5 years of experience in the AEC industry. Experience in the field and/or MEP is advantageous. Proficiency in Autodesk Design Suite is essential, and familiarity with programs such as Assemble, Fuzor, and similar software is preferred. A comprehensive understanding of construction principles is required.

Advanced computer skills are necessary, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and email communication. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity for independent thought and work. Physical presence in the designated area is required, and travel may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

The primary responsibility of the BIM Specialist is to ensure the effective implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and associated processes. This role is crucial within the BIM team, focusing on managing and producing models. The BIM Specialist will create, obtain, evaluate, coordinate, and distribute 3D and 4D BIM models for construction purposes.

Collaboration is key; the BIM Specialist will work closely with owners, architects, and engineers to enhance communication and cooperation during the preconstruction phase through BIM/VDC processes. Additionally, the role involves interaction with subcontractors and software vendors to facilitate collaboration during the construction phase.

The BIM Specialist will independently manage one project at a time while also contributing to research and development initiatives, ensuring project success.
