Job Summary:
We are in search of a Financial Analyst to become part of the Financial Consulting Division within the Controller's organization.

The Financial Consulting Division (FCD) is tasked with delivering financial leadership, advisory services, business consulting, and decision support to various business lines and senior management.

Core services offered by FCD encompass business and investment analysis, including mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures, alongside finance and accounting advisory.

The FCD provides a distinctive environment to enhance commercial and professional skills, supported by a strong commitment to training and personal development.


Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit leadership, foster customer relations, and promote knowledge development.
- Integrate industry experience with strategic and analytical capabilities.
- Formulate and implement innovative long-term business strategies.

- Engage in internal projects or serve as core finance members of project teams, driving business growth through M&A or other strategies that optimize shareholder investment returns.

- Advise project teams on critical strategic business matters, develop advanced business models, and tackle specific challenges and opportunities.

- Play a pivotal role in high-level client interactions and act as a content lead for proposals and business development initiatives.

- Conduct financial modeling and provide business support during due diligence.
- Perform model vetting and capital project assessments.
- Analyze business/investment opportunities related to asset divestment, service outsourcing, and contract evaluations.
- Manage business/asset valuation and feasibility studies.
- Provide business consulting with an emphasis on strategic finance.

- Oversee data analysis and apply business principles to develop actionable recommendations for profitable growth.

- Prepare and deliver comprehensive oral and written reports to management.
- Update the controller's organization on operational matters and new initiatives.
- Assist management with complex accounting and finance issues.
- Coordinate internal finance support as necessary for business initiatives.
- Deliver presentations to management as required.
- Utilize strong management skills to address operational needs.
- Apply joint venture accounting skills (equity accounting/consolidation).

Qualifications:
This role requires the candidate's relocation to a key operational hub.

A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field, along with a relevant certification such as CPA, CMA, or CFA is required. A graduate degree is highly preferred.

10+ years of experience in industry or a blend of industry and consulting experience is preferred, focusing on financial analysis, capital markets, business development, industry research, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate finance, or strategy consulting.

Strong negotiation and leadership skills are essential.
Ability to establish credibility with various internal clients and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills is crucial. Candidates should possess strategic thinking capabilities and be results-oriented, driven, and hardworking. A proven ability to work collaboratively in a positive team environment is necessary. Candidates should be flexible and innovative, capable of proposing creative solutions.
Must be a team player, able to manage personal workload effectively and meet deadlines. Ability to collaborate with various business lines and serve as a business partner is important. Candidates should be entrepreneurial, proactive, and productive.

Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, manage projects efficiently, and provide logical and innovative solutions to complex business challenges is required.

Willingness to travel as necessary.
