We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative I to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our Cancer Care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and check in patients, verifying and updating insurance information and confirming other patient details
- Schedule patient appointments, answer phones, and update demographic information
- Process referrals, payment collection and posting, charge reconciliation, and chart preparation
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital staff to ensure seamless care
- Use independent judgment to resolve issues and provide solutions
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in practice software and registration tools
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple duties simultaneously
This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive individuals.
