Patient Service Representative III

Job Summary:
The Patient Service Representative III is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support. This role requires a high level of proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register patients and obtain necessary demographic and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely communication with patients and healthcare providers
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations as needed
- Process patient payments and resolve billing discrepancies
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient registration or scheduling
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and practice management software
Working Conditions:
- Work in a healthcare setting, with potential exposure to infectious diseases
- Use computers and typing for extended periods
- Lift, move, and load up to 30 pounds
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking
