Job Title: Patient Service Representative III

Job Summary:

The Patient Service Representative III is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support. This role requires a high level of competency and experience in patient intake, scheduling, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate tests and procedures
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Process referrals and prior authorizations
  • Collect and post payments
  • Manage patient panels and track quality metrics
  • Assist with patient complaints and provide service recovery
  • Participate in multidisciplinary problem-solving groups and attend departmental meetings
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people
  • Work with computers and typing
