Patient Service Representative III

Job Summary:
The Patient Service Representative III is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support. This role requires a high level of competency and experience in patient intake, scheduling, and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care and communication
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate tests and procedures
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Process referrals and prior authorizations
- Collect and post payments
- Manage patient panels and track quality metrics
- Assist with patient complaints and provide service recovery
- Participate in multidisciplinary problem-solving groups and attend departmental meetings
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Strong knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people
- Work with computers and typing
