Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-range strategic operational plans to support the organization's mission and goals.
  • Departmental Coordination: Coordinate and oversee the organization-wide departmental services, ensuring comprehensive and compliant provision of facilities operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory agencies' requirements, including CMS, OSHA, CDC, FDA, NFPA, and other state and federal codes.
  • Project Management: Coordinate operational activities between the organization and the plant operations department, defining project deliverables, timelines, and monitoring progress.
  • Resource Management: Demonstrate responsible management of departmental resources, including contracted services.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead, teach, inspire, and help staff to develop professionally, ensuring they meet clinical, technical, and managerial competencies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction/Business Management, Construction Engineering Technology, or other related field.
  • Experience: Five years of related experience, including CAD experience, tracking and reviewing building/suite size and features.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, managerial, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to plan, delegate, monitor, and improve work performance.
  • Certifications: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), Certified Life Safety Specialist (CLSS-HC), Certified Healthcare Operations Professional (CHOP) are preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Pushing: Lift 50 pounds of weight, carry equipment/supplies, and use upper body strength for repair and maintenance work.
  • Extended Hours: Work for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.
  • Flexible Schedule: Work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-Call Availability: Be available on-call to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.
