Crew Chief Job Summary

The Crew Chief is a critical role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our field staff. This includes facilitating internal communication, managing external agency interfaces, monitoring system status, and ensuring the maintenance of quality field operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and monitor field employees, providing daily oversight and communication.
  • Liaise with patients, public safety agencies, training institutions, hospital personnel, and other system users.
  • Ensure the maintenance of quality field operations through daily contact and communication.
  • Manage PCR's and other field paperwork, ensuring timely transmission and processing.
  • Provide staff counseling and guidance on AMR operations.
  • Assist with accident and employee injury investigations and paperwork.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, equipment, and medical supplies for field units.
  • Maintain communication with other agencies and departments.
  • Prepare reports and manage projects as assigned by the Operations Manager.
  • Respond to disaster situations or mass casualty incidents, providing assistance as needed.
  • Attend scheduled meetings as required by the Operations Manager.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current Montana State EMT or Paramedic Certification.
  • EMS experience, with field experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of system status management and effective communication skills.
