Job Overview

The Lead Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects by strategically overseeing and managing the Project Triple Constraint: Scope, Schedule, and Budget. This role also involves administering Risk, Quality, and Safety throughout the project lifecycle and across various Project Phases, including (a) Investment Intent, (b) Feasibility, (c) Technical Planning, (d) Implementation, and (e) Closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the project team, collaborating with site and corporate entities as necessary.
  • Keep the Project Sponsor, Steering Committee, and Functional Leads informed about project progress, risks, and milestones throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of the project, adhering to cost, time, scope, quality, and safety standards.
  • Develop a comprehensive project charter and ensure user requirements are clearly defined.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations, building codes, and internal guidelines.
  • Establish and implement a project execution plan, including Risk and Change Management strategies.
  • Work with Global Sourcing to determine the appropriate Project Delivery Method in line with established guidelines.
  • Oversee the prequalification and selection process for A/E, CM services, contractors, and vendors in collaboration with Global Sourcing.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and project specifications.
  • Design and implement the project organization according to the chosen project delivery method for each phase.
  • Ensure that project execution meets all safety protocols and requirements.
  • Initiate Peer Review and/or Value Engineering workshops as necessary.
  • Guarantee that all project tasks and activities are completed on time and meet quality standards, including documentation for each project phase.
  • Utilize benchmarking KPIs to provide reliable estimations.
  • Regularly report on project status to the Steering Committee or Project Sponsor.
  • Complete project close-out processes and submit the final project report.
  • Facilitate the handover of all necessary project documentation for operational use.
  • Coordinate and align various stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Ensure proper initiation, execution, and closure of the project.
  • Encourage sharing of best practices at the conclusion of each project.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or PMP Certification with a minimum of 7 years of experience in project management.
  • Experience in the Biopharmaceutical Industry, particularly within a GMP Environment, is essential.
