The Laboratory Project Coordinator will manage all phases of laboratory initiatives from inception to completion, which includes constructing test environments, executing evaluations, and dismantling setups. Furthermore, this role will lead infrastructure enhancements within the lab, focusing on improving electrical systems and laboratory networks. The perfect candidate will possess a robust technical background encompassing electrical, mechanical, structural, network, and control systems. Strong collaboration with engineers, suppliers, contractors, and operational staff is crucial.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct the setup, integration, assessment, and retirement of diverse technologies within the laboratory
  • Oversee infrastructure projects related to network installation and upkeep
  • Work closely with engineers, program directors, suppliers, and laboratory personnel to ensure project success
  • Define and manage project objectives, timelines, and communication strategies
  • Proactively address project challenges and provide hands-on assistance during hardware development and setup
  • Supervise the processes for receiving and delivering equipment
  • Operate lifts and manage multiple laboratory initiatives concurrently
  • Formulate testing protocols and standard operating procedures with the team
  • Effectively communicate project progress and utilize productivity tools efficiently
  • Identify and implement enhancements for testbed construction and laboratory infrastructure
  • Ensure project activities comply with client standards and safety regulations
  • Be present on-site during standard business hours and adapt to various work settings

Required Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with data center technologies and over 10 years of experience in relevant sectors
  • Proven experience in team leadership and cross-functional collaboration
  • Hands-on expertise in laboratory infrastructure implementation and supplier management
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google productivity applications
  • Capacity to embrace new technologies and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Degree in engineering or a related discipline, accompanied by extensive experience
