Position Overview:
The Vice President, Business Unit Head, Ophthalmics will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and will be accountable for recruiting, training, and leading the Ophthalmics Commercial Team.

This role involves achieving revenue targets for the Ophthalmics Business, including the planning and execution of all aspects of the annual sales strategies.

Collaboration is essential, as this position will work cross-functionally with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Training, Commercial Operations, and Market Access.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the marketing and sales team while collaborating with cross-functional partners to formulate strategic and annual brand plans.
  • Develop and implement customer engagement strategies that align with brand and business unit objectives while ensuring compliance.
  • Participate in regional and national congresses, engaging with key customers to promote the Sun Ophthalmics portfolio.
  • Demonstrate compliant collaboration across stakeholders, including Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Training, and Market Access, to ensure a unified approach to key customers.
  • Work closely with marketing, managed markets, and management to meet sales objectives.
  • Represent and uphold the image of Sun Pharma's products in a professional manner, adhering to compliance guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies governing all activities.
  • Engage with multiple levels within and outside the organization, demonstrating tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.

Qualifications:
  • Proven strategic thinking abilities, evidenced by a successful track record in developing and executing plans with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Advanced degree in Business or Life Sciences is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management and/or sales leadership is essential.
  • Current knowledge of pharmaceutical promotional regulations is required.
  • Experience within the Ophthalmics marketplace is preferred.
  • Strong customer focus with a demonstrated ability to cultivate effective strategic relationships.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills and the ability to proactively engage with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other business partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities.
  • Prior experience with P&L responsibility and GTN management is preferred.
  • A proven track record of high performance and delivering exceptional results is essential.
  • Strong analytical, project management, fiscal management, and decision-making skills are required.
  • A positive attitude and adaptability to a dynamic environment are crucial.
  • A dependable leader who operates with integrity and builds trust with team members and cross-functional partners is essential.

Compensation and Benefits:
This position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan and may qualify for the Long Term Incentive Plan.
