POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Vice President of Business Growth is tasked with driving new client acquisition and fostering the expansion of existing client relationships within the clinical services sector.
This position will manage the business development strategy throughout the sales process, ensuring alignment in the growth of both current and prospective accounts.
The role entails generating new business opportunities, reaching out to potential clients, and nurturing long-term partnerships to enhance financial performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:New Account Acquisition (70%):
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cold outreach
o Assess prospects for compatibility with the company's service offerings, budgetary constraints, and timelines
o Secure client agreements and initial project deposits
o Meet or surpass annual new account targets for each service line.
o Collaborate with Operations, Client Services, and Creative Services to prepare necessary documentation for onboarding new clients, including Proposals, Master Services Agreements, and Statements of Work.
Client Relationship Management (10%):
o Ensure a smooth transition of new clients to Program/Account Managers.
Team Development and Oversight (10%):
o Create a staffing strategy for the Sales team
o Effectively recruit, train, mentor, and supervise sales personnel
o Assist in formulating annual new account and revenue objectives
o Plan and project departmental budgetary needs.
Industry Insight (10%):
o Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends
o Stay informed about advancements in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare marketing
o Help identify emerging market opportunities and strategize service offerings accordingly
o Innovate new sales techniques to maintain a competitive edge.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Bachelor's degree required.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Over 10 years of experience in sales management, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role and 5 years in selling enterprise-level services.
Proven understanding of marketing concepts and trends within the medical and healthcare sectors.
Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards.
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with a strong ability to develop and deliver presentations.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Consistent track record of sales success throughout one's career.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall accountability for the management, direction, coordination, performance, and evaluation of the assigned team and staff.
Responsibilities encompass employee training; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and addressing employee concerns; and resolving issues.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:
Travel may exceed 50%.
