CCO, the Head of Market Access will be a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team at Sun Pharma, tasked with formulating and executing market access strategies, encompassing pricing, reimbursement, and patient service initiatives across key customer segments.

- Develop, implement, and oversee a patient access service support program to ensure a positive patient experience and provide payment assistance as needed.
- Schedule and manage clinical presentations and meetings with payors, as required.
- Support the company's overarching marketing objectives, including pricing strategy and execution.
- Conduct payor segmentation and analysis to prioritize payors and monitor contract performance, including negotiation and administration.
- Evaluate new markets, service opportunities, market capacity, and payor penetration.
- Engage with senior leadership regarding the ongoing managed care value proposition and strategic planning and budgeting.
- Foster positive and productive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including government entities, to drive additional business.- Develop, supervise, and lead organization-wide milestones for field account management.
- Design, develop, and implement managed care models and strategies to enhance access, quality outcomes, and achieve cost efficiencies.
- Oversee managed care policy, procedure, and program development for Medicaid, Medicare, commercial plans, and state employee health insurance programs.
- Engage in strategic planning, business planning, and the development of emerging business opportunities.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and engagement strategies to support new markets and business lines.
- Secure formulary listing access and preferred positioning with critical payors.
- Monitor contract adherence performance among payors.
- Gather relevant data from payor groups such as health plans, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), and Specialty Pharmacy Payors (SPPs) to understand market dynamics and competitor status, defining strategies for distribution, including SPP agreements and partnerships.
The Candidate
Experience and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 15+ years of progressive healthcare experience in relevant managed care initiatives.
- 10 years of experience in managed care contract development and negotiations.
- 3-5 years of experience in the biologics and/or immunology space.
- Proven success in negotiating commercial payor contracts, with prior launch experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Medicare Shared Savings Programs, and value-based contracting.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with all levels to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Proficient in desktop applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Broad understanding of clinical development and regulatory processes and strategies.
- Travel will be expected at a minimum of 20%.
